1. Who we are

AIT TECHNOLOGY LIMITED is responsible for personal information collected through this website and is the controller of that information for the purposes of applicable UK data protection law.

2. Information we collect

When you contact us or request a Free 30-Minute Automation Review, you may provide:

• your name and company;
• your email address;
• your telephone number, if you choose to provide it;
• an optional area of interest; and
• your message and details of the process, service or project you would like to discuss.

We may also process limited technical information associated with a request, such as request timing and network or browser information, where needed to operate the website securely and prevent abuse.

The contact form uses server-side validation, a hidden spam check, a time-based bot check and rate limiting. It does not store enquiries in a website database; valid enquiries are sent to us by email. The rate limiter uses a one-way keyed identifier rather than intentionally retaining the raw IP address in its temporary rate-limit records. Those records expire automatically after a short security period.

3. How we use personal information

Depending on the circumstances, we may use personal information to:

• respond to enquiries;
• arrange and conduct Automation Review discussions;
• understand the services or business improvements requested;
• prepare proposals or quotations and communicate about potential projects;
• provide requested services where a commercial relationship develops;
• maintain appropriate business records;
• protect the website against spam, misuse and security threats;
• establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

Information submitted through the enquiry form is not collected for newsletter marketing, and submitting the form does not amount to consent to receive marketing.

The lawful basis depends on why and how we use the information. More than one basis may be relevant in some circumstances.

Legitimate interests

We may rely on legitimate interests to respond to genuine business enquiries, communicate with prospective business customers, administer and protect the website, and prevent spam or abuse. Our legitimate interests are operating our business, considering potential work, maintaining website security and ensuring that genuine visitors can contact us. Contract and steps before a contract

We may process information where this is necessary to prepare a quotation, discuss requested services or take steps at your request before entering into a contract. If services are commissioned, processing may also be necessary to perform the resulting contract.

Our standard enquiry form does not intentionally request special category or other sensitive personal information. Please do not include such information in a general enquiry unless it is genuinely necessary and we have specifically asked you to provide it.

Where necessary for the purposes described above, information may be handled by carefully selected categories of recipient, including:

• website hosting providers;
• email service providers;
• IT and security service providers;
• professional advisers, such as accountants or legal advisers; and

We do not sell personal information.

Temporary anti-abuse and rate-limit information is retained only briefly for website security purposes and expires automatically.

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information. No website or email transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please avoid sending confidential credentials or unnecessary sensitive information through the general enquiry form.

AIT Technology provides AI and automation services to business customers. That is separate from how we handle website enquiries. We do not currently use information submitted through the website contact form to make solely automated decisions about visitors that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
